North planning committee decisions – 4 June 2013

The following planning decisions were made by Shropshire Council’s North planning committee at its meeting on Tuesday 4 June 2013 in Wem.

Moreton Grange, Moreton Street, Prees, Whitchurch, SY13 2EF (13/00682/FUL)

Change of use from private dwelling to residential care home. 

Decision:  That, subject to an additional condition to require the provision of a Traffic Management Plan, planning permission be granted in accordance with the officer’s recommendation. 

Millfield House, Fauls, Whitchurch, Shropshire (13/00921/OUT)

Outline application for the erection of a detached dwelling to include access. 

Decision:  That the application be deferred as the officer’s report did not fully represent the up-to-date situation regarding the 5 year land supply, and a further report will be prepared and considered at a future meeting. 

Shade Oak Stud, Bagley, Ellesmere, Shropshire, SY12 9BY (13/00945/FUL)

Installation of one 35m wind turbine (43.6m to blade tip); and ancillary cabinet. 

Decision:  That planning permission be granted in accordance with the officer’s recommendation. 

Red Barn, Main Road, Norton In Hales, Shropshire (13/00961/FUL)

Erection of 2 storey dwelling (following demolition of existing buildings); including installation of dormers and rooflights.  Alterations to existing vehicular access and landscaping scheme. 

Decision:  That the application be deferred as the officer’s report did not fully represent the up-to-date situation regarding the 5 year land supply, and a further report will be prepared and considered at a future meeting. 

The Bungalow, Station Road, Whittington, Oswestry, SY11 4DA (13/01236/FUL)

Erection of single storey extension to front. 

Decision:  That, subject to no issues being raised from the highways team, the Area Planning Manager be given delegated authority to grant planning permission, in accordance with the officer’s recommendation.
