A further 30 tickets for next week’s Shropshire Business Summit have just been released, after the initial batch were quickly snapped up.

The Business Summit will take place on Monday 10 June 2013 from 5.30pm to 8.30pm at Shrewsbury Town FC’s Greenhous Meadow, and gives local businesses a chance to help shape and grow Shropshire’s economy.

Tickets are available free to any company paying business rates/council tax to Shropshire Council, and anyone interested must book theirs by 5pm on Wednesday 5 June by clicking here

The theme of this year’s summit is ‘Shropshire Means Business – Preparing for new funding for growth’.

On the night Shropshire Council’s Leader Keith Barrow, and operations director Clive Wright, will open the summit with a look at the role of the Marches LEP, its achievements to date, and the opportunities it offers to Shropshire businesses.

Mandy Thorn, Chair of Shropshire Business Board, will then give a brief overview of Shropshire’s new economic growth strategy, and the top five things achieved since the 2012 business summit.

As well as having the chance to ask questions, there will also be roundtable discussions led by members of the Business Board, enabling delegates to raise ideas and opportunities to grow Shropshire’s economy.

Keith Barrow said:

“The annual business summit is a really important event in Shropshire’s business calendar and has always been extremely popular.  This year is no exception, but I’m pleased that we can offer these extra places to local businesses, so that they come along and make their contribution count.”
