Cross Street, Oswestry, update: 5pm Tuesday 2 April

Building control officers from Shropshire Council have been talking to business owners in Cross Street, Oswestry, to advise them to check their buildings are safe following concerns over some falling pieces of guttering.

Cross Street – which has restricted vehicle access as a matter of course – was closed to traffic on Tuesday (2 April 2013) and will remain closed until a further review tomorrow (Wednesday 3 April 2013), but pedestrians can access all the shop fronts.

Further meetings are due to take place tomorrow between building control officers and business owners, and more updates will be issued following those meetings.
