Super Sundays in Ludlow this summer

Shropshire Council is encouraging people to visit Ludlow by rolling out a new parking initiative “Super Sundays” this summer.

The initiative, which is also being rolled out in Shrewsbury, is planned for the Sundays between 21 July 2013 and 8 September 2013 inclusive, with people being able to park all day in Ludlow’s town centre promoted off-street car parks for the price of one hour – in most cases that will be 30 pence or less.

The plan follows the success of last year’s “Spectacular Sundays” promotion in Shrewsbury which was hugely popular with town centre businesses for increasing trade.

Ron Buzzacott, Shropshire Council’s highways and transport manager, said:

“This is a fantastic initiative that will make it more attractive for people to come into the town and stay longer on Sundays.  Ludlow has a superb range of things to do and see, and this is all about helping people to spend more time enjoying them during a period which is so important to businesses.”
