News from our partners StartUp Britain

StartUp Britain has teamed up with Viking, leading supplier to small businesses, to present Confessions of a StartUp  – a unique opportunity to record the challenges and buzz of starting a business in 2013.

They are calling for new businesses to send them a video pitch about their start-up, with the chance to win a prize package worth more than £5,000.

Start-ups are asked to send in their clip before 1 April, and they will be in with a chance to have their business experiences turned into a blockbuster movie by an expert director.

If picked to go through to the final five, they get to film the highs and challenges of starting up a fledging business over 50 days.

StartUp Britain and Viking will choose four winners, and a social media wildcard vote will determine the fifth.  The five movies will be premiered at a secret pop-up film premiere, where one lucky start-up will receive a start-up Oscar and the prize package at a glittering red carpet ceremony.

Once their entry is live, businesses can work towards winning the social media wildcard vote by building their likes on the “Confessions…” YouTube channel.
