Valentine artist to exhibit in Ludlow
With Valentine’s Day fast approaching, love is in the air at Ludlow Visitor Information Centre and Ludlow Assembly Rooms.
Arriving at the Visitor Information Centre on Thursday 7 February 2013 will be Shropshire artist Eliza Glapinska with a Valentine exhibition of special dresses and a profusion of handmade silk flowers for sale, suitable for wedding corsage or for hat and show decorations.
The exhibition runs through until 21 February 2013.
Mike Owen, Shropshire Council’s Cabinet member responsible for tourism and culture, said:
“Eliza is a very talented artist, and it’s a privilege for her Valentine exhibition to be held at our Ludlow facilities. I encourage everyone to come along and see for themselves.”
Rosanna Taylor-Smith, local Shropshire Councillor for Ludlow North, said:
“I am really pleased to have Eliza demonstrating her dresses and silk flowers here in Ludlow, and would encourage everyone to come and have a look, ask questions or make a silk flower.”
On Monday 18 February 2013 Eliza Glapinska is also coming to be the ‘artist in residence’ at the Assembly Rooms from 10am-4pm.
Angela Linsday, manager of the Visitor Information Centre, said:
“Anyone with an interest in her displays in our window is invited to join her at the Assembly Rooms for a short craft session where you can make a silk flower, and find out about her other art projects.”
