Use Shropshire Community Play Store for your play equipment needs
Shropshire Council’s Community Play Store is a great resource to utilise this February half-term (fast approaching), or for whenever you may need it.
The Play Store provides the opportunity to hire resources for you to use at home, in an organised setting, and even outside. The Play Store is equipped with a wide variety of equipment, from giant games to sports equipment to musical instruments.
Anyone is eligible to access the equipment; all you have to do is become a member of the store. Membership is free and hiring costs vary, but are minimal.
Steve Charmley, Shropshire Council’s Cabinet member responsible for active and healthy lifestyles, said:
“With the wide range of equipment available to hire, there is something for everyone to enjoy and bring play back into children’s and adults’ lives. Play is an essential part of childhood, as well as being enjoyable for parents and carers; children’s most natural instinct is to play. Through play they learn, take risks, get creative and most importantly of all have fun. The Play Store is an ideal opportunity to get out and play this half term.”
