Shaping the future of business networking in Wem
A meeting is being held on Wednesday 30 January at The Old Rectory in Wem starting at 6pm for local business people to come along and be involved in shaping a new business network Wem and the surrounding area.
Wem Rural Parish Councillor Richard Powell, explained:
“Since the successful Wem Business Fair held last October there has been a growing interest in setting up a business network. At the meeting we will be identifying where the common interests are and what projects and actions should be pursued for the mutual benefit of businesses across the town and its surrounding area. Longer term, this should give businesses in and around Wem a louder voice, greater opportunity to influence decisions and drive progress on the best ideas for maximising Wem’s potential as a centre to do business.”
Shropshire Councillor Pauline Dee, added:
“I would like to encourage all local business people to come along as we want to bring together businesses of all kinds, whether they’re based in Wem, Northwood or Coton and in a high street shop, office, industrial unit or their own home. Different issues will matter to different types of business, but we can only find out how much if we get voices from across the board.”
