Land At Tudorholme, Station Road, Whitchurch – 11/05162/FUL
Erection of 6 no. dwellings and formation of vehicular access, parking and garden areas following demolition of existing dwelling
Decision: That, subject to:

  • The applicant entering into a Section 106 Legal Agreement;
  • Condition 3 being amended in accordance with the comments received from the Enforcement Officer;
  • Conditions 7 and 8 being replaced with a new condition 7 regarding hard and soft landscaping works, in accordance with the comments received from the Enforcement Officer; and
  • Two additional conditions, one requiring development to be strictly in accordance with the drainage scheme submitted and approved; and the other removing permitted development rights from the dwellings.

Planning permission be granted in accordance with the Officer’s recommendation.

Squirrel Inn, Wollerton – 12/01849/FUL
Change of use from a public house (Use Class A4) to a residential dwelling (Use Class C3)
Decision: That planning permission be refused against the Officer’s recommendation for the following reason:

The proposal is considered to be an inappropriate change of use as it would result in the loss of a local community facility, the application does not provide for any equivalent or improved provision within the village of Wollerton, nor has it been clearly demonstrated that the use as a public house is not viable over the long term, therefore the proposal is contrary to the requirements of Policy CS6 of Shropshire Council’s Core Strategy.
