Get your home prepared for winter with Warm Front

The Warm Front Scheme ends soon – apply today and be prepared for winter.

Warm Front provides government funded grants of up to £3,500 (and up to £6,000 in areas where there is no mains gas) that are available to homeowners and private tenants receiving certain income-related benefits such as Pension Credit, to help them keep warm and save money on energy bills.

Warm Front will organise and pay for all work up to the value of the grant.  This scheme is funded by the Government and managed by Carillion Energy Services.

For those that don’t qualify for Warm Front, Keep Shropshire Warm, Shropshire Council’s affordable warmth project, is also offering free loft and cavity wall insulation for all residents of Shropshire (subject to survey, excess meterage charges may apply).  There are also grants of up to 100% available for solid wall insulation dependent on the type of heating system in the property and the personal circumstances of the householder.

It is estimated that installing loft insulation could save a household around £175 a year on their energy bills, installing cavity wall insulation could save around £135 a year and installing solid wall insulation could save approximately £475 a year.
