What do you think about school meals past and present?
What was on the menu when you were at school? And what was your favourite – or least- liked – meal?
These are just two of the questions that people can now answer on a new Facebook page set up by Shropshire Council’s school meals team.
The ‘Shropshire School Meals’ Facebook page also offers the opportunity to comment on the meals currently being served in schools across the county, and to offer suggestions and new ideas for dishes or recipes that you’d like to see on the menu.
The page will also provide the latest school meals news, promotions, photos, and links to promotions and money-saving offers that may be of interest to parents and pupils.
The ‘Yesterday’s dinners’ features invites you to share your favourite (or least favourite) dishes in a nostalgic trip down memory lane.
Cecilia Motley, Shropshire Council’s Cabinet member responsible for school meals, said:
“We’re really excited about this new Facebook page and hope that parents, pupils, schools and our own staff will visit and get involved in the conversation about school dinners.”
Shropshire Council’s school meals team has set up the new Facebook page to complement its existing @Shropschoolmeal twitter account.
