The next meeting of Much Wenlock and Shipton Local Joint Committee (LJC) takes place at Shipton Village Hall on Wednesday 18 July 2012 at 7pm.

David Edwards, Shropshire Council, and Michelle Jones, Environment Agency, will be talking to residents about the pollution of Farley Brook.  This is a subject that members of the community requested more information on at the last meeting.

The meeting will also hear more about Encompass, which is an exciting digital dance project that will connect people across the world and get them dancing.  The project has been working with hundreds of young people from its base in Much Wenlock and via its interactive website, across the globe.  The final event, which takes place 19-21 July 2012 at William Brookes School, will integrate film and live performance to create a breathtaking show in a huge 21-metre 360-degree digital dome.

There will also be an opportunity to find out more about Connecting Shropshire and superfast broadband delivery in Shropshire.

Shropshire Councillor Milner Whiteman commented:-

“We are really looking forward to welcoming everyone to Shipton Village Hall and we appreciate people taking the time to attend.  It really is a good opportunity to find out more about what is happening in our community.”
