Negotiations still ongoing regarding Tern Valley Business Park
Shropshire Council would like to make clear that no decisions have yet been made regarding the potential sale of Tern Valley Business Park in Market Drayton.
Negotiations are taking place between the council and a private investor, but talks are still at an early stage.
Mark Pembleton, business and enterprise manager at Shropshire Council, said:
“It’s good news that there is interest in the business park, but we need to ensure that any deal is right for the economy of Market Drayton and Shropshire in general. Discussions are still taking place and no decisions have been made.”
Councillor Roger Hughes, a Shropshire Councillor for Market Drayton West, added:
“The result of these negotiations is not a foregone conclusion, we have to ensure that we deliver the correct mix of jobs. There has long been a demand for office and technology development in Market Drayton, recently underlined by the Town Plan survey. This site may be the only opportunity to meet that need. We must not fail.”
