Funding available for groups in Much Wenlock and Shipton areas

Community groups from the Much Wenlock area are invited to bid for funds to support their activities through the Much Wenlock and Shipton Local Joint Committee (LJC). 

The deadline for funding applications is Friday 15 June 2012, and they will be considered at the next LJC meeting on Wednesday 18 July 2012 at 7pm at Shipton Village Hall. 

There is around £8,000 available, and groups are encouraged to contact their community action officer, Kerry Rogers, for further information and guidance.

Chairman of the LJC, Shropshrie Councillor Milner Whiteman, said:

“This is an ideal opportunity for local community groups to obtain some money for a project to benefit their communities.  The process for applying for funding is very straightforward, and help and guidance is available along the way.”
