Fancy getting your photographs on our new website?
We are developing a new website which will be quicker and easier to use – and we would like your help to make it look great.
The first section of the website to be revamped is the libraries section, and you can see how it looks by clicking here – we would really appreciate it if you could spend some time trying it out and letting us know what you think.
It’s a work-in-progress, and the idea is to improve the new website pages depending on the feedback from people using them. You can share your feedback by clicking this link.
We also want to include photographs of the outside of each library to show people who may not know their local library what it looks like – and that’s where you come in.
Why not take a picture of your local library and send it to us? Or if you already have a photograph of a particular library which you think would work well on the website, please send it in.
The usual terms and conditions apply, and the picture will only be used on the website to illustrate the library buildings. Please make sure you have the necessary rights and/or permission to share the pictures with us under copyright law (which you will have if you have taken the picture yourself).
Tina Woodward, Shropshire Council’s deputy Cabinet member responsible for customer service, said:
“The website is being developed to create a much more user-friendly experience for customers wanting to access council services. I hope people will get involved with this project, it would also be nice to feature photographs taken by residents which will give the website a real community feel.”
