Explore the history of Shrewsbury’s suburbs

There is still time left to book your place to explore the local history of Shrewsbury.

Shropshire Council’s Visitor Information Centre is offering residents and visitors the opportunity to take part in a guided walk exploring some of the suburbs of the town.

The walks will start evening of Wednesday 30 May 2012 through to August 2012, and will be a series of gentle walks looking at the history and some of the buildings in each area.

Starting at either 6.30pm or 7pm, the walks will last for up to  two hours.  Prices are £4.50 for adults and £2.50 for children (age 16 and under). 

Tickets are available from Shrewsbury Visitor Information Centre, and tickets must be purchased in advance before joining the tour.

Lead by our friendly and knowledgeable town guides, these guided walks will include Abbey Foregate, Belle Vue, Castlefields, Kingsland, Frankwell and Coton Hill.
