Call for Highley LJC funding applications

Voluntary groups and organisations in Highley are invited to submit their funding applications to Highley Local Joint Committee (LJC) by Wednesday 13 June 2012, in time for the first round of funding allocations. 

Groups and organisations wishing to submit an application for funding should send a completed application form to Shropshire Council’s community action officer, Tracy Johnson at Community working – south area team, Shropshire Council, Westgate, Bridgnorth, WV16 5AA. 

Chair of Highley LJC, Shropshire Councillor Mary Nicholls, said:-

“I would like to invite community groups to apply for funding from the LJC to support the activities they provide for the village.”     

In the past Highley Bowling Club, Highley Rugby Club, Highley Minors playgroup, Highley Hot Shots football group, Highley Summer Pride and Highley Broadplace have all benefited from funding from the LJC.   

The deadline for applications is Wednesday 13 June 2012 and application forms and advice can be obtained from Tracy Johnson, community action officer, on 01746 713111 or  07582 002005, tracy.johnson@shropshire.gov.uk.  

The next LJC meeting will be on Wednesday 25 July 2012 at 7pm at the Severn Centre, where decisions on grant applications will be made.
