Burnell and Severn Valley LJC next Monday 5 March

Burnell and Severn Valley Local Joint Committee (LJC) would like to extend a warm invitation to residents in all of its 11 parishes to its next meeting on Monday 5 March 2012 at Cound Guildhall at 7.30pm. 

There will be an opportunity for members of the public to raise any issues or concerns with the Shropshire and parish councillors attending, as well as the local police team. 

In response to a request at the last LJC Gordon Frost, who is the local area business manager from Arriva Buses, will be present to speak about local bus provision.  Also at the meeting will be a representative from Shropshire Council’s transport policy team.  Both will be available to answer questions. 

The LJC will also consider four applications for funding from Cressage Parish Plan Steering Group, Cound Guildhall Management Committee, Atcham Flower Club, and Condover PP3 Group.

Shropshire Councillor and Chair of the LJC Claire Wild commented: 

“As rural dwellers are often more reliant on bus services, I am looking forward to hearing from Gordon Frost and the public at this meeting.  I know that as well as the Arriva bus service, many people in our area value the ShropshireLink service.”
