Oswestry businesses invited to exchange ideas at World Café
Do you have a big idea which could shape the economic future of Oswestry?
Oswestry businesses are invited to another World Café consultation meeting on Thursday 17 November 2011 at The Wynnstay Hotel to discuss new ideas to enhance Oswestry’s economic future.
The World Café meeting between 6.30pm and 9pm is being organised by Shropshire Council and Oswestry Town Council, and follows on from the successful event held earlier in the year, where the local priorities for the Oswestry Market Towns Revitalisation Programme (MTRP) were agreed.
During the evening an update will also be provided on the projects that have been recommended for approval by Oswestry’s Shropshire Councillors, and how these new projects reflect the priorities and ideas important to Oswestry’s business community.
Five of these have already received final approval, with the remaining projects going forward in the coming months.
Councillor Keith Barrow, Leader of Shropshire Council and local councillor for Oswestry South, said:-
“We have been working hard with local businesses to ensure economic growth and prosperity in Oswestry. Shropshire Councillors and Oswestry Town Council will be coming together for another engaging evening with Oswestry’s business community to discuss the big issues facing Oswestry as it thinks about its economic future.
“We very much hope that many local business can join us, and look forward to meeting and talking with you at the World Café. The feedback from this meeting will be important in ensuring future projects reflect the priorities and ideas important to Oswestry’s business community.”
