South planning committee decisions – 17 May 2011

A summary of decisions made by Shropshire Council’s South Planning Committee at its meeting on 17 May 2011.

10/04658/FUL – Site Adjacent Stone Lee, Calcutts Road, Jackfield
Description – Erection of five dwellings and construction of new vehicular access
Decision – That planning permission be granted, subject to:
(i) completion of a Section 106 Agreement to provide a financial contribution towards the provision of affordable housing and public open space in the locality; and
(ii) that access be provided for service vehicles to prevent wheeled bins and recycling containers being left on the verge.

11/00002/FUL – Proposed Affordable Dwelling South of Reaside Cottage, Factory Lane, Oreton, Cleobury Mortimer
Description – Erection of an affordable dwelling.
Decision – That planning permission be granted, subject to a Section 106 Agreement to ensure that the dwelling remains available and affordable to local people in perpetuity.

11/00732/ADV – Street Record, Oldington, Bridgnorth
Description – Erection of extension and raising of roof line to create first floor including insertion of roof lights to existing garage.
Decision – That planning permission be granted, subject to the support posts being stained dark brown or to a colour as agreed by the Local Planning Authority.
Reason: To ensure the signs do not detract from the character of the surrounding rural area.

11/01138/FUL – Pilgrims Cottage, 7 Roman Bank, Rushbury, Church Stretton
Description – Erection of a single storey extension to rear elevation.
Decision – That planning permission be granted in accordance with the Officer’s recommendation.

09/03304/FUL
Description – Erection of 8 residential units (including 4 affordable dwellings) and associated outbuildings, retention of Haining Croft and formation of access and driveway.
Decision – That the Section 106 planning obligation for the development be varied in accordance with the details, as set out in the report, and in accordance with the Council’s current target rate of 13%.
