Application forms are available from either Up and Running in Mardol, or Shirehall in Shrewsbury.

People can still sign up to run on the day from 8am to 9.30am, but they will have to pay an additional £3 on top of the normal fee (excluding the fun run).

Charges for the event are:

  • Club runner – £7.50
  • Non-club runner – £9.50
  • Fun runner – adult or junior – £3.75

Councillor Steve Charmley, Shropshire Council’s Cabinet member for culture and leisure, invited runners young and old to take part in the fun:

“The Seven Bridges event has been a great success in the past and we are hoping for more entries than ever this year.  The race has attracted people from all over the country and I would like to thank this year’s event sponsors Up and Running Shrewsbury.   I would also like to pass my sincere thanks to the Shropshire Shufflers who have once again agreed to act as marshalls for the event.”

Andrew Bannerman, Shropshire Councillor for Quarry and Coton Hill, said:

“I hope it’s a great success again.  The Quarry is an ideal venue for this.”

Sean McCarthy, Active Lifestyles Manager at Shropshire Council, said:

“There really will be something for everyone to enjoy on the day, so why not come along and enjoy the fun.”

People wishing to take part in the event should call Sean McCarthy at Shropshire Council on 01743 255933 or Up and Running Shrewsbury on 01743 270004 for more details.
