Funding still available for groups in Much Wenlock and Shipton

Community groups from the Much Wenlock area are invited to bid for funds to support their activities through Much Wenlock and Shipton Local Joint Committee (LJC).

The deadline for this round of applications is Tuesday 14 June 2011, and applications will be considered at the next meeting on  Wednesday 20 July at 7pm at The Priory Hall, Much Wenlock.

There is around £15,000 available and groups are encouraged to contact their community action officer, Kerry Rogers, for further information and guidance.

Chairman of the committee Councillor Milner Whiteman said:

“This is an ideal opportunity for local community groups to obtain some money for a project to benefit their communities.  The process for applying for funding is very straightforward, and help and guidance is available along the way.”
