The Bowbrook, Copthorne and Radbrook Local Joint Committee (LJC) will be holding an additional public meeting at 9am on Thursday 12 May 2011, at Shirehall in Shrewsbury, to consider a funding application from the SAHA Bowling Club.

The Bowling Club is seeking support for urgent repairs / refurbishment to its clubhouse, and the work needs to be carried out prior to the next official meeting of the LJC, which is not until 7 July 2011.

Councillor Peter Nutting, Chairman of Bowbrook, Copthorne and Radbrook LJC, said:

“All three councillors on the LJC will be at Shirehall on other council business next Thursday morning and, in order to assist this local club, we are prepared to consider this grant application.  Due to LJCs now only meeting twice a year, it may occasionally be necessary to take this course of action to assist the work of local clubs and groups.”
