Call for funding applications to Highley Local Joint Committee

Voluntary groups and organisations in Highley are being invited to submit their funding applications to Highley Local Joint Committee by Friday 20 May 2011, in time for the first round of the LJC’s funding allocation.

The committee’s 2011/12 total budget is just under £14,000.

Groups and organisations wishing to submit an application for funding should send a completed application form to Shropshire Council’s community action officer, Tracy Johnson, via communityaction@shropshire.gov.uk or to Community Working, Southern area team, Shropshire Council, Westgate, Bridgnorth, WV16 5AA.

Applications received for this round of funding allocation will be considered at the LJC meeting on Wednesday 6 July 2011 at 7pm at Severn Centre, Highley.

Shropshire Councillor Mary Nicholls, Chairman of Highley LJC, said:

“We want to reach out to local groups within Highley, especially those groups which have projects in the planning stages and those who have not applied for funding before. Please contact Tracy Johnson, our community action officer, for information on how to apply for funding to assist your group.”
