A529 at Phoenix Bank to reopen on Wednesday

The A529 road at Phoenix Bank in Market Drayton will reopen to traffic at lunchtime on Wednesday 9 March 2011.

The road has been closed to traffic since 10 January 2011 to enable major repairs to be carried out to the wall which retains the Old Grammar School’s garden.

The road was not due to re-open until next Friday (18 March 2011) after the need for additional work repair work to the wall was identified. However, Shropshire Council’s contractor has been able to complete work sooner than originally anticipated.
