Paving works in Shrewsbury – Sunday 6 February

Shropshire Council is to carry out further paving works in Shrewsbury town centre this Sunday, 6 February, at the site of last year’s explosion.

Whilst the work is being carried out traffic will be unable to turn left from Smithfield Road into Bridge Street.

However, a diversion will be in place via Roushill, Mardol and Claremont Street.

Traffic will be able to turn right from Bridge Street into Smithfield Road.

The work involves the placement of new pavements slabs on Bridge Street to replace some temporary tarmac put down following the excavation works that followed the explosion.
