Local services, and how they might be affected by budget cuts, will be top of the agenda at the next meeting of Bishop’s Castle, Chirbury & Worthen and Clun Local Joint Committee (LJC).

Local Joint Committees are the forum where local people can identify key priorities for their area and engage with parish and unitary councillors who work with Shropshire Council to make things happen. The meeting will take place on Thursday (10 February) in the Public Hall, Bishop’s Castle, and starts at 7pm.

Shropshire Councillor Heather Kidd, chair of the LJC, said:

“We need to come up with ways of working together in these difficult times, particularly our local schools. I would encourage everyone to come to this meeting.”
