News from our partners: 7th annual Christmas Trees Festival at St Chad’s Church in Shrewsbury
News from our partners St Chad’s Church, Shrewsbury
St Chad’s, Shrewsbury’s civic church, welcomes businesses and social organisations, schools and other charities to sponsor a tree at its seventh Christmas Trees Festival from Thursday 5 December 2019, where the trees will remain on display until Thursday 2 January 2020.
Sponsorship helps the work of St Chad’s and in turn provides mutual benefit to its sponsors by promoting their organisations by displaying leaflets and brochures at the base of their tree. The tree is provided ready for sponsors to provide and fix their own decorations and LED Christmas lights, either conventionally or to reflect a theme relevant to their company or organisation. Sponsors are invited to a special reception with complimentary festive refreshments, and entertainment from 5pm until 7pm on Wednesday 4 December 2019.
Admission is free to the festival, at which community clubs, schools, colleges and musical groups will be taking part in the daily programme of events. It’s a special experience over Christmas and the New Year, with over 50 beautifully decorated Christmas trees displayed in the wonderful ambience of St. Chad’s; a real Christmastide treat for all the family.
