Get your roadworks and road closure alerts straight to your email

People can now get alerts about the latest roadworks and closures in the areas they are interested in straight to their email. 

Shropshire Council uses roadworks.org to inform residents about when and where roadworks and closures are taking place across the county.  This service also provides information about who they are being carried out by and the likely impact on people’s journey times. 

This new feature allows people to select an area of interest by specifying an electoral division; people can at this point add three other divisions if they want.  It also allows people to select an area by postcode and specify a radius.  Information is then sent to the specified email address daily, weekly or fortnightly. 

Councillor Simon Jones, Cabinet member with responsibility for traffic management, said:

“This is a great service which allows you to see the roadworks and closures where you live or which ones may impact on your journey times.”
