The great Business Breakfast: leaders from across Shropshire to reunite this November
Business people from in and around Shropshire will reunite this November as the Shropshire Business Leaders Breakfast returns in person for the first time since the start of the pandemic.
Hosted at The Shrewsbury Club, Sundorne, Shrewsbury, the free event is on Tuesday 1 November 2022 at 8am to 10.30am, and will bring together local businesses and partners from across the county to discuss current and future plans for the Shropshire business scene.
Over refreshments delegates will have the opportunity to hear from Shropshire Council leadership figures to discuss economic growth, inflation, energy challenges, infrastructure networks, supply chains and more.
This year’s programme also includes conversations with some of the beneficiaries from the £167million grant funding and business support provided to local organisations to reboot the economy post-pandemic.
Tim Yair, from Midlands Net Zero Hub, will provide a talk on the current energy crisis, and there will also be an update on the Shropshire business park programme.
The event runs during the same week as the ITF World Tennis Tour W100, also hosted from The Shrewsbury Club. Delegates attending can enjoy the morning of business networking, followed by some sporting excellence. Further information about the tennis tournament can be found here.
Matt Potts, Shropshire Council’s business growth and inward investment manager, said:-
“It’s important for us to share Shropshire’s strategic vision with our business community. During times of uncertainty, we want to invite local businesses and partners to join the conversation and discuss the real issues and opportunities that lie ahead. Together, we can help shape our county’s future development.
Dean Carroll, Shropshire Council’s Cabinet member for growth and regeneration, shared:-
“We’re really pleased this event can return in person. This year’s event feels even more important due to the immense challenges businesses have faced over the last two years. As we look ahead to an ever-changing economic climate, we want to continue the dialogue with local businesses and partners, so we can navigate these challenges together.”
Over 100 delegates have already signed up to the event. If you’re interested, please book to avoid disappointment. More information can be found here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/shropshire-business-leaders-breakfast-2022-tickets-411248985787
