Old Worcester Road, Bridgnorth and A442 road junction recent change

In response to road safety concerns at the junction of Old Worcester Road, Bridgnorth with the A442, a “No Entry” Traffic Regulation Order preventing traffic exiting Old Worcester Road onto the A442 has recently been introduced.

This was due to very limited visibility onto the A442, coupled with the increase in traffic that was using the road to access the recycling centre, causing safety issues at this junction.   

This restriction was brought into force on 16 February 2018. The road is still a two-way public highway, but drivers are now not allowed to exit onto the A442, for safety reasons (with the exception of vehicles that are exempt from the restriction, such as emergency services etc).
