The Much Wenlock and Shipton Local Joint Committee (LJC) has an interesting meeting planned for Wednesday 16 July 2014, at Shipton Village Hall at 7pm.

The main item will be discussions around how the LJC can be best positioned in the future to represent the views of the local community and make decisions about how public money is best used locally.

Councillor David Turner, chairman of the LJC, said:

“The LJCs are evolving to reflect the changes taking place at Shropshire Council; please come along and hear how the LJCs may become part of the new decision-making structure.”

The meeting will also include an update on Connecting Shropshire’s superfast broadband programme, and the local policing team will be in attendance to talk about local crime and safety.

Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting and to take part in the discussions.

For more information on the meeting please contact Kerry Rogers, Shropshire Council’s community enablement officer for the area, on 07990 085206 or email kerry.rogers@shropshire.gov.uk.
