Ellesmere LJC to hear about the evolving role of LJC meetings
The Ellesmere area Local Joint Committee (LJC) has an interesting meeting planned for Tuesday 17 June 2014, at Welshampton Village Hall at 7pm.
The main item will be discussions around how the LJC can be best positioned in the future to represent the views of the local community, make decisions about how public money is best used locally and the future of youth provision in Shropshire.
Councillor Ann Hartley, chairman of the LJC, said:
“The LJCs are evolving to reflect the changes taking place at Shropshire Council; please come along and hear how the LJCs may become part of the new decision-making structure.”
The meeting will also include an update from the Ellesmere local policing team regarding local crime and safety, and the local Fire Service. A new standing item on the agenda will be an update on local issues: Welshampton Parish Council will talk about the challenges they are currently facing.
Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting and to take part in the discussions.
