By-election for Ludlow North
A Notice of Election has been published today (Thursday 6 February 2014) to elect a new councillor for Ludlow North.
The by-election was called following the resignation of Councillor Rosanna Taylor-Smith, who represented the Conservative Party.
Anyone who wishes to stand as a councillor can now request a nomination pack from the Returning Officer, and the deadline for submitting a nomination is 12 noon on Friday 14 February 2014.
If enough candidates stand to make a contest, voting will take place on Thursday 13 March 2014, with polling stations open between 7am and 10pm.
Any new elector wishing to register to vote in this by-election must submit a written application to the Returning Officer no later than Tuesday 25 February 2014.
The deadline to register for a new postal vote, change an existing postal vote, or change an existing postal-proxy vote is 5pm on Wednesday 26 February 2014.
The deadline to register for a new proxy vote or change an existing proxy vote is 5pm on Wednesday 5 March 2014.

A list of candidates will be published following Wednesday 19 February 2014, which is the deadline for any candidate withdrawals.
