South planning committee decisions – 5 November 2013

The following planning decisions were made by Shropshire Council’s South planning committee at its meeting on Tuesday 5 November 2013 in Bridgnorth.

Plot 4, Westholme Park, Hazler Road, Church Stretton, Shropshire (13/02474/FUL)

Erection of two-storey dwelling with garage.

Decision:  That, subject to a Section 106 Legal Agreement to secure an affordable housing financial contribution, planning permission be granted in accordance with the officer’s recommendation. 

Land at Stretton Road, Much Wenlock, Shropshire (13/02569/VAR)

Variation of Condition no. 1 on planning permission 11/03255/FUL – to omit the requirement for the site to be restored to paddock on cessation of use, but to cease the car park use on the required date (amended description).

Decision:  That planning permission be granted in accordance with the officer’s recommendation, subject to an additional condition requiring that the area be maintained in a clean and tidy condition at all times to the reasonable satisfaction of the local planning authority.

Lea Quarry, Wenlock Edge, Much Wenlock, TF13 6DG (13/03059/FUL)

The erection of a wood chip storage building, a timber chipping building to process wood chip and installation of photovoltaic panels to both buildings.

Decision:  That planning permission be granted in accordance with the officer’s recommendation, subject to the following:

  • A Statement of Compliance with Article 31 of the Town and Country Development Management Procedure Order 2012
  • A legal obligation (Unilateral Undertaking) to ensure that the development footprint of the renewable energy business at Lea Quarry will not extend beyond the current plant yard and timber storage areas
  • Deletion of Condition 5b.
