Ignite your enthusiasm to learn
Young people aged between 14 and 19 are invited to the Real Apprenticeship showcase where they can try a new skill, trade or profession and get more information about apprenticeship opportunities.
The event is being held at Shrewsbury Town FC’s Greenhous Meadow on Tuesday 13 November from 1.30pm to 7.30pm.
The showcase is designed to help parents, carers and teenagers learn more about apprenticeships and ask questions.
It’s being organised by Shropshire Council as part of its strategy to promote apprenticeship and to drive up skill levels in Shropshire.
Cecilia Motley, Shropshire Council’s Cabinet member for education and skills, is supporting the event and said:
“Apprenticeships are a great way to learn because you gain experience, as well as a recognised qualification. This event is a great chance for young people to get information and find out about the choices available to them.”
The theme for the event is ‘Have a Go’ – it’s all about apprenticeships, real jobs and real training, the events are free and there is no need to book.
