Related topics: Democracy

The Severn Loop Local Joint Committee (LJC) is meeting next on Wednesday 24 October 2012 at 7pm at The Guildhall, Frankwell Quay, Shrewsbury. SY3 8HR.

The Severn Loop LJC covers the areas of The Quarry and inside the loop of the River Severn, Coton Hill, Castle Foregate and St Michael’s Street areas, Frankwell, Porthill, Kingsland, Longden Coleham and Belle Vue.

Shropshire Councillors and Shrewsbury Town Councillors will be in attendance, and encourage people to attend to listen to current topics and raise issues of concern.

Local Shropshire Councillor Andrew Bannerman, chair of the LJC, said:

“The LJC is a way for local people to raise issues and influence activities in their area.  As a result of the meetings, many things have been resolved on behalf of local people and many local groups have benefitted from grants to support their activities.”

Updates will be given on the issues raised at the last meeting, and the local police officer will be in attendance.  There is a great deal happening in Shrewsbury at the moment, so come along to get the latest information and raise issues with your councillors.

If you wish to raise any issues or require any advice on funding please contact your community action officer Gwyn Bevan on 01743 252482 or email gwyn.bevan@shropshire.gov.uk.
