Cornovii Homes is inviting the local community to provide feedback and learn more about plans for Shrewsbury West Sustainable Urban Extension (SUE).

The proposed development, comprising up to 283 homes, is designed to deliver high-quality, sustainable housing and foster a vibrant new community. A public consultation on the plans is open and will run until 14th February.

The Shrewsbury West SUE has been designed to deliver benefits for residents, the wider community, and the environment. The homes will incorporate energy-efficient designs to lower emissions and reduce utility costs, making them sustainable and affordable to maintain.

Connectivity is a priority, with pedestrian and cycle pathways integrated to encourage active travel and healthier lifestyles.

The proposed plans include a mix of one- to four-bedroom homes, offering both apartments and houses. A substantial proportion of the properties will be affordable, with a range of tenure options to support diverse housing needs and first-time buyers in the region.

The development will preserve mature trees and provide public open spaces, ensuring that natural beauty is retained while creating spaces for relaxation and community activities. It will contribute to Shrewsbury’s economic growth by generating funds for local infrastructure improvements, supporting the town’s development and growth.

Cornovii Homes is committed to putting the community at the heart of this development. Residents are encouraged to participate in the consultation by sharing their ideas and feedback.
