Road repairs to be carried out on Ash Road in Whitchurch

Road repairs are to be carried out on Ash Road, Whitchurch to the A41, Bletchley from 14 August to 4 September 2024, with work to take place in three phases.

  • Phase 1 – 14 to 20 August – Whitchurch Bypass to Ash Magna
  • Phase 2 – 21 to 28 August – Ash Magna to Ightfield
  • Phase 3 – 29 August to 4 September – Ightfield to Bletchley

Work will take place between 9.30am and 4pm (weekdays only), and the road will be closed during these times.

During the closures a signed diversion will be place – and access/egress for properties  and businesses within the closure will be maintained when safe to do so. Depending on their vehicle type, road users may be able to choose an alternative diversion route.

People are asked not to park on the road during the day whilst the work is in progress.

All planned roadworks are subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. Any changes will be displayed on the yellow advanced warning signs and on One Network.

During the work, access to the works area will be restricted to:

  • Local residents who live and reside within the road closure
  • Businesses located within the closure (if applicable)
  • Pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and equestrians
  • Emergency vehicles
  • Utility or public service vehicles when safe to do so
