New video launched to promote Shropshire’s Personal Assistant (PA) notice board
A new video has been released to showcase the benefits of Shropshire Personal Assistant (PA) Notice Board, a website that helps people in Shropshire who need care and support and have a Direct Payment, to find personal assistants who can provide tailored support.
Shropshire PA Notice Board is a free introduction site that brings Personal Assistants looking for work and people looking for PAs together.
People can register on the website and post job adverts of the support they are looking for. They can view details of PAs available in their area. PAs can register on the website and apply for jobs that are advertised. They can post their profiles so that people looking for support can find them and contact them directly.
Shropshire PA Notice Board does not employ or vet PAs or people looking for support. It is up to the users of the website to check references, qualifications, and suitability of each other. It is not an agency or a recruitment service, rather a platform that allows people to advertise their support needs and PAs to advertise their availability and skills.
Councillor Cecilia Motley, cabinet member for adult social care and public health, said:
“We are delighted to support Shropshire PA Notice Board as a valuable resource for people who need care and support and for personal assistants who can offer their skills and expertise. Shropshire PA Notice Board is a great example of how we can empower people to choose their own support and live independently.
“We hope that the new video will inspire more people to use the website and benefit from the service.”
The new video can be viewed on Shropshire Council pa notice board (youtube.com)
