Related topics: Highways, transport and environmental maintenance

Harpswood Bridge and Harpswood No 2 Bridge – which carry the B4364 Ludlow to Bridgnorth road over the Mor Brook – will be closed for repairs from 15 July 2024 for 12 days.

The work at Harpswood Bridge will include taking down and rebuilding the bridge’s parapet following a road traffic collision. The work at Harpswood No 2 Bridge will include repairs to the steel parapet.

To carry out the work safely it will be necessary to close both bridges to vehicular traffic between 9.30am and 3.30pm each day.

When the road is closed, traffic will be diverted by a signed diversion route.

Access over the bridge for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will remain available throughout the works, and access to frontages will be maintained up to the bridge closures.

The work will be carried out by Shropshire Council’s contractor Kier, with supervision being provided by WSP on behalf of Shropshire Council.
