News from our partners: The 4 All Foundation empowers north Shropshire communities with digital learning
The 4 All Foundation, in collaboration with Shropshire Council, has successfully supported more than 200 community members in north Shropshire through a funded digital learning scheme. The Digital Skills Programme, led by Shropshire Council, aims to bridge the digital divide, and empower individuals with essential digital skills and resources.
More than 100 free SIM cards have been distributed to Market Drayton residents via the programme’s links with the National Databank at The Good Things Foundation, providing vital connectivity to those experiencing digital poverty. Free SIM cards can help people to access to online resources and enable individuals to stay connected with friends and family, pay bills, and access essential services.
As well as helping people to improve their digital confidence through weekly learning sessions, the 4 All Foundation has delivered a series of digital workshops focused on e-safety, online bill support, and other relevant topics. These have equipped community members with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate the digital landscape safely and confidently.
George Hounsell, Director of Sport and Community at The Marches Academy Trust, said:-
“We are thrilled to see the positive impact of the Digital Skills Programme on the north Shropshire community. Access to digital resources and skills is more important than ever, and we are grateful for the support of Shropshire Council in making this initiative possible.”
Looking ahead, the 4 All Foundation has received further funding to continue its free digital support for the North Shropshire community. Through ongoing partnerships and initiatives, the Foundation aims to empower more individuals with the digital tools and knowledge they need to thrive in today’s digital age.
