Join together in a National Moment of Silent Reflection on Sunday 18 September 8pm
People across the country are being invited to join together in a National Moment of Silent Reflection to mourn the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and reflect on her life and legacy.
The National Moment of Silent Reflection will take place at 8pm on Sunday 18 September 2022, the night before the State Funeral, and be marked by a one-minute silence.
People are invited to mark this in any way they want to, whether privately in their own homes, with friends and family, out on doorsteps or on the street with neighbours, or at locally arranged community events and vigils.
Those who want to share this moment with others can do so at Shrewsbury Abbey at 8pm, an hour after the Memorial Service has finished.
Details of larger-scale public events to be held across the county will be published on the gov.uk website.
