Ironbridge Power Station plans are at an advanced stage
Plans for a major development at the former Ironbridge Power Station site are at an advanced stage.
The original proposals included plans for 1,000 homes, a new local centre to contain a mix of leisure, commercial, retail and health uses, a primary school, nature corridors, public open space and the reuse of the site’s pump house to support either retail, community or river-based uses. There has been extensive consultation since the application has been lodged.
Shropshire Council are working hard to ensure that the levels of infrastructure within the development are adequate and appropriate, and this will lead to a delay in determination.
The scheme will go before planning committee as soon as possible. The date of the committee will be published on the council’s website shortly.
