Future of council services to be discussed at Ellesmere area LJC meeting on 8 March
The next meeting of Ellesmere area Local Joint Committee (LJC) is on Tuesday 8 March 2016 at 7pm at Ellesmere Town Hall.
The evening will start with a presentation from Ramped, a local Community Interest Company commissioned to provide youth activities in Ellesmere; followed by Russ Millhouse, University Centre Shrewsbury, who will talk about the new university providing information on the courses available, facilities and vision for the future.
There will also be a presentation from George Candler, Shropshrie Council’s director of commissioning, on the “Big Conversation”, providing details of the consultation results and how the council are going to meet the shortfall in funding from central government.
Councillor Ann Hartley, Chairman of the LJC, said:
“The above presentations will be very informative and I would encourage residents to come along to the meeting. There will also be an opportunity for residents to raise any local issues with Shropshire Councillors, and to suggest agenda items for future meetings”
An update on crime and disorder in the area will also be provided by the local policing team.
This is an open public meeting, so everyone is more than welcome to attend.
