Shropshire Council is pleased to announce that the tea room and visitor centre at Severn Valley Country Park near Alveley will be extending its opening times from Wednesday 11 March 2015 for the start of the new season.

The visitor centre and teashop will now be welcoming visitors five days a week, Wednesdays through to Sundays inclusive, between 11am and 5pm.

The park provides a wonderful day out which is right on your doorstep.  The park offers 126 acres of beautiful countryside and wonderful views which span both sides of the longest river in the country.  The woodlands, ponds and meadows are full of many species of plants and animals which you can write on our “What have you seen today?” board when you spend some time in the visitor centre and teashop.

The tea shop offers a wide range of treats to tempt the taste buds, including homemade cakes, freshly-made sandwiches, filled baked potatoes, home-style soup and roll, sweets, crisps, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and canned drinks.
