Shropshire Council is encouraging local people to come along to the next Highley Local Joint Committee (LJC) to talk about the issues that matter to them.

The meeting is on Wednesday 17 July 2013 at 7pm at The Severn Centre, Bridgnorth Road, Highley, WV16 6JG.

The committee is made up of two Shropshire Councillors and two representatives from Highley Parish Council.

Councillor David Tremellen, Chair of Highley LJC, said:

“At the meeting on 17 July, Highley LJC will be considering an application for funding of £1,950 from the Severn Centre towards the replacement of tiles at the swimming pool, from our LJC allocation.  The LJC will also receive a presentation from Bill Longmore, the Police and Crime Commissioner, on local policing, and an update on SAMDev planning.

“Police officers will also be in attendance from 6.30pm to listen to your community safety issues.”
