Working4me launch website

Related topics: Health

Working4me launched its website www.working4me.org.uk recently at Innage Lane Resource Centre for adults with learning disabilities based in Bridgnorth.

Working4me is a social enterprise based in Shrewsbury, supporting people with learning disabilities to develop self-employment opportunities.

The working4me team demonstrated the new website and showcased some of the handmade crafts and products from different micro-enterprises that will be available for sale on the site.

The website, with its simple and colourful design, has information, advice and support to help people to develop their business ideas and turn them into a reality.  Other features of the site include:

  • An online marketplace for people to buy products that have been created by Working4me members
  • Become a member and then set up a shop in the online marketplace to sell products or advertise a service
  • Find out more about the Me-Market events that showcases and sell micro enterprise products to customers face to face
  • News stories from featured sellers or products
  • Get advice or get signposted to other organisations or people that can help with becoming self-employed.

Tracy Davies from Innage Lane said:

“We really enjoyed being part of the launch and were excited to host it – we were involved in the testing of the Working4me website, so it’s been great to see it become a reality.  We have a successful micro enterprise at Innage Lane, with service users creating a range of products.  Now that we’re signed up as a Working4me member, we’ll be selling on the site through our In-Age shop.”
