Birds event at Severn Valley Country Park

Need somewhere to take the children this half-term?  Join Shropshire Council staff at Severn Valley Country Park to learn all about our feathered friends.

Come along on a ranger-led ramble looking at bird nest sites on the park, and have a go at making your own nest out of natural materials.  Experience the wonder of birds up close with a bird-ringing demonstration.  Come back to the visitor centre to make a bird feeder to take home and hang in the garden. 

The cost is £3 per child.  Please bring an old apple or windfall apple for each child taking part in the event.  Booking is essential via 01746 781192. 

Meet at the Visitor Centre, Severn Valley Country Park, Alveley.  Follow the brown countryside signs south of Bridgnorth along the A442.
