Pontesbury Youth Club holds launch party

Pontesbury Youth Club will be holding their ‘launch party’ on Thursday 15 September 2011 at Pontesbury Youth Building (next to the library) from 7pm until 9pm.

The invitation from the new voluntary committee goes out to all the 11- to 16-year-olds in  Pontesbury and surrounding areas.  There will be a barbecue and lots of fun and games.  The volunteers would like to use this first night to ask the young people what sort of night they would like their youth club to be, and what other activities they would like to participate in.

Shropshire Councillor for Minsterley Tudor Bebb said,

“I have learnt from helping some of the local lads that wanted to set up this youth club that volunteers are out there, they just need to be asked.  And a big thank you to Hignetts the Butchers of Pontesbury for giving us BBQ meat, the Co-op for the bread rolls, Uniq at Minsterley for the puddings and The Horseshoes Inn at Pontesbury for the pop and crisps.”
